Dining at The Four Ferns

All meals at The Four Ferns are prepared fresh in our kitchen each day by our professional culinary team. Great care is taken to ensure every dish is both nutritious and enjoyable for our residents.

Residents are offered a variety of balanced meal choices each day, with special dietary requirements and personal preferences carefully catered for. Our menus are thoughtfully developed and reviewed by dietitians to ensure they support the nutritional needs and wellbeing of our residents.

At The Four Ferns, dining is also an important social experience. Shared mealtimes give residents the opportunity to gather, enjoy conversation and take pleasure in good food together.

Meals are served in our dining rooms located on each floor.  Alternatively, residents may choose to have meals served in their rooms.

Arrangements can also be made if residents wish to book meals outside of mealtimes, require room service or indeed wish to book a private space for catering with family and friends.

Our culinary programme is intertwined with our social activities programme. We host baking activities, Food group meetings which allows our residents have their say, nutritional talks that allows residents a chance to see how food can impact on health and wellbeing, we make your own Christmas pudding with residents and much more. Perhaps our residents would like to have family or friends join them for wine and nibbles during one of our live music events. Another great idea is to invite family and friends over for our monthly Sunday Roast programme or to join one of our pop-up fine dining restaurant nights. Our residents can also host an Afternoon Tea Service, which includes sandwiches, sweets and treats, all served with our classic China tea service.

We host an annual BBQ for family and friends of residents each summer with live music, face painting for grandchildren, ice-cream vans, sweet carts and lots more which is proving a great success within our homes.

Our core resident dining programme includes breakfast, lunch, and evening tea with three staggered tea services.

An integral part of our programme is gathering feedback from our residents and their visitors. This includes hosting our monthly resident committee forum and inviting residents to share their feedback.

Our kitchenettes are open 24/7 and residents can avail of hot and cold beverages and snacks.  This includes a featured daily treat and flavoured waters.

Sample Service Timings
Breakfast is served on all floors between 8:30 am and 10:15 am.

Lunch is served between 12:45 pm and 01:15 pm on the Ground and Second Floor. First Floor is served between 12:30pm and 1:00pm.

Tea is served between 5pm and 5:30pm for the Ground Floor. The First Floor is served between 4:30pm and 5:00pm. The Second Floor is served between 4:45pm and 5:15pm.
